Funds and security positions of our clients are always in the custody of ADP. Clearing. All deposits of funds and transfer of positions into the accounts of the clients of our customers are made directly to ADP Clearing for the sub-account of each client. All disbursements of funds or transfer of positions out of the clients accounts go out only to the person or entity that has been registered as owner of the account upon its opening.
The asset management “ALL-IN-ONE…” accounts offer clients a check book and a Visa Card through which they can have access to funds in their accounts. We make it possible for clients to monitor these accounts at any time of the day or night over the internet by giving them access to our systems with the use of a User name and Password.
In addition to the $500,000 protection ($100,000 for cash and $400,000 for securities) provided by the Securities Investors Protection Corporation, ADP Clearing will provide additional protection through Travellers Casualty and Surety Company of America for the total equity in your account.
Regarding our Systems and Connections
We have dedicated lines directly connected to UUNET ‘s T-3 backbone, one of the largest and most reliable Internet service providers in the nation. For redundancy connections and backups, we have a mirror site with dedicated lines through another service provider (PSI) who is on a separate network from UUNET. We have all our servers in house and maintain backup servers at our second site. We have a direct connection via a private leased-line with U.S. Clearing (our clearing firm). This is the connection we use to execute your trades on the exchanges. We also have “cold” backup servers and routers ready to be used at anytime in case of system difficulty.
